INCESSANT DECEPTION

Here are some of the poems that I've written over the past few years.
This is your own personal peek inside my little world.
Feel free to e-mail me here to tell me what you think.

ALLEVIATE
I want to make you disappear,
I want to erase you from existence.
I sit in this quiet darkness,
My only effort to alleviate the sorrow.
It seems all too real.
I can still feel your fingers brush my skin,
Lips upon my cheek.
These memories are eerie.
Bits and pieces of time,
Bound to be forgotten.

ALWAYS AND FOREVER
Don’t cry,
You’ll never be alone.
Don’t cry,
I only want to help you.
Don’t feel bad,
I won’t let you go.
I will stand beside you.
Always and forever,
I will love you.

HALF EMPTY, HALF FULL
Sometimes it hurts too much to lose your love.
Sometimes it seems all is in vain.
Sometimes its as though the world turns without you.
Sometimes its like they’ve all abandoned you.

Sometimes it makes you want to laugh again.
Sometimes it feels as though you might smile.
Sometimes its as though a part of you wants to let go.
Sometimes it like you’ve finally shed your tears and grown.

ON MY SIDE
I know I frustrate you
By not believing what you say.
I just can’t help it.
I’ve always been this way.

I know I frustrate you
By refusing to grip your version of reality.
It's just how I feel about myself
It reflects my personality.

I know that I frustrate you
By contradicting every word you say.
But it makes me happy to know
you’re on my side either way.

THE ONLY THING
The only thing I’ve ever wanted
is to be appreciated,
To have someone hold me
and gaze lovingly in my eyes,
To have someone softly whisper I need you
without you I don’t know where I would be.

All I’ve ever needed
is for someone to be there for me
to hold me when I cry
and listen to me.
To be a friend when everyone else is gone
and i'm carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders.

To be happy is a dream of mine.
To be needed a vision.
To be truly loved seems like an unrealistic feat.

VIEW
When you see white, all I see is black.
No use to me, I can't look back.
Can't change the past, and the present doesn't last.
So short on time, yet it's wasted.
Worried about what's yours and what's mine,
not wanting to mix the truth with lies.
How can we tell when what's wrong seems so right,
and what's right seems so wrong?
Is it me or is it you, or is it just our clouded view?

You've read my poems times. Just can't get enough, eh?
